K utlwano (b. 1996 Limpopo) recently completed her Honors in Fine and Applied Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology. She was awarded the 2021 Bag Factory Young Woman Studio Residency . She has taken part in several group exhibitions and local art fairs, including at Pretoria Art Museum and Constitution Hill. She explores various techniques and materials, particularly using plastics such as trash bags and grocery bags, which she layers with nostalgic spirits of home, maternal care and teachings, eco nomic struggles and commonly used Setswana expressions.
